This year, Lunar New Year (called Tết in Vietnam) celebrations began on February 12. For us Vietnamese (and some East Asian countries) it is the most important festival. It is time for families to be together and a week of an official public holiday. We were supposed to visit our parents in Vietnam and celebrate Tet together but Covid ruined the plan. So it's quite an emotional time for me, especially with Germany being in the extended lockdown for the past two months. But it's okay to be sad.
