Originally streamed Nov 6, 2019. This is my streaming project "Fliptendo," in which I'm playing every NES and Famicom game in chronological order. I grew up with the NES, it's been a favorite system for a long time. The point of this project is to learn about all of the games and get a better historical perspective. While I won't beat every game, I will try to play through as many as I can, and show as much of the games off as I can. SD Gundam World Gachapon Senshi - Scramble Wars, by Human, published by Bandai for the Famicom Disk System. This seems to be the first turn based strategy game on Famicom, although the action battles are 1v1 action combat on an overhead map. It's first in a long line of SD Gundam games. This game is infamous for the computer player an extremely long time to compute it's action. It's also just slow and primitive in general, with really lame map music that is horribly repetitive. The action combat battle system is also not particularly fun, as the computer reacts too quickly and is too hard to deal with, so generally you will need to exploit it's AI to have a chance to win. To be honest, this game is absolutely terrible, even if you're a fan of strategy games. I think it'd be quite a challenge to find ANY game on Famicom less fun than this! It really has pretty much nothing good going for it.
