Galaxy Force II - SEGA 1988 The first two planets are quite easy, the point is to fly fast and shoot as much as you possibly can, avoiding obstales. Knowing the course helps, but it still will not take you through the complete game unless you skillfully manouver your fighter-craft. I am playing several rounds here just to show you the complete game. I've not been able to manage all seven courses in one go yet as I'm not that skilled player. But this will at least give you an idea what the game is about. Mission 1 - the Moon: The game begins as you're launched into space, finding your way towards the secret enemy base hidden inside a moon. While shooting down occasional enemies coming at you, you pass right through their defence grid constructed upon orbiting asteroids, to finally approache the entrance of the moon base. Once inside you find yourself navigating tunnels filled with hostiles, cannons and guardian vessels coming in from behind trying to gun you down. However, you push through and at the same time intercept legions of armed robots waiting to attack, untill you reach the narrow passage to the central power reactor, destroying it. Mission 2 - Lava planet: This place is hostile all by itself. There is very little stable ground here and lava is shooting outwards from inside the planet core. The enemy has a base not far from here, which you must penetrate and destroy. Starting from your descrete drop zone in the middle of a vast sea of burning lava, you fly low and fast trying to avoid enemy interception. Although you skillfully manouver between pillars if bursting hot stuff and in a rain of fire-balls, the enemy knows you're here. Squadrons of various attack ships come at you in different formations, shooting missiles. The aweful fact of double trouble kicks you in the face as you try to stay somewhat focused on your enemy infront of you, and at the same time trying to avoid bieng barbequed by a swirling fountain of molten mineral coming up from under you. If you make it this far you've soon breached the enemy defences, and you're now entering the enemy base inside the hot caves. Well inside the caves you navigate the glowing tunnels shooting down enemy cannons as you go. Occasionally the tunnels open into large caverns infested with more enemy guns, and attacking flying robots. You know you're closing in on the reactor when you see that round narrow passage. Now get in there and do your job.
