Played by: Tarosan Wave Race 64 is a racing game for the Nintendo 64 that was released on September 27, 1996 in Japan and on November 1, 1996 in North America. In Wave Race 64 the player races on jet skis in many different weather conditions, on a variety of different courses. The game was sponsored by the Kawasaki Heavy Industries brand, and featured product placement for the Coca-Cola Company brand Fanta. Wave Race 64 was released August 6, 2007 for the Virtual Console in North America; in PAL territories it was released on August 17. A jet ski racing game that is so simple to play and is one of the advanced titles of the system that uses 80% of the console's power to run it... I'm pretty sure that everyone who owned this console had their own copy of this great game, surprisingly I always thought this was a one off game that got a sequel for the Gamecube but this was originally a sequel to a Game Boy game called Wave Race... you learn something new every day. I only take on the Championship mode of three difficulites because Reverse Mode has Expert Difficulty A.I and they were a pain to race against.
