There is no road transport and access is only possible on foot along the indicated tourist routes. It has 120 sleeping places, a tourist canteen with 90 places and a buffet, where food and drinks are offered, external sanitary facilities and bathrooms. The starting point for reaching "Rayi hut is the town of Kalofer. There is a 6-7 km paved road from the town to the "Panitsite" area along the Tundzha river. From there, a marked path leads to the hut. The route starts with a steep climb of about 10-15 minutes to get to the entrance of the Central Balkan National Park. After it, there is another steep climb for about 20-25 minutes through the forest. For inexperienced people, it can be quite challenging. After leaving the forest, there is a long section along a sloping dirt road, from where you can see beautiful views of the southern slopes of “Botev” peak. There is a kiosk with drinks and snacks halfway along the route. The route then leads into a trail that with several descents and ascents, crosses the Bazovitsa River. Shortly after that, the most difficult part of the route begins - about 40 minutes of continuous steep ascent through an old beech forest. The ascent ends with the exit from the forest, from where a beautiful view of the nearby hut with the background of the “Raisko Praskalo” waterfall and the steep, rocky slopes of the “Botev” peak occurs. There are numerous rest areas throughout the route built by the Park Directorate, benches as well as several water fountains along the way. The entire route with breaks takes about 4 – 4 and a half hours. Маршрутът започва със стръмно изкачване около 10-15 минути за да се излезе на входа на Национален парк „Централен Балкан“. След него се минава по още едно стръмно изкачване за около 20-25 минути през гората. За по-неопитните, може да е доста предизвикателно. След като се излезе от гората, следва продължителен участък по полегат черен път, откъдето се откриват красиви гледки към южните склонове на връх Ботев. По средата на маршрута има павилион с напитки и закуски. Маршрутът преминава в пътека, която с няколко спускания и изкачвания минава през река Бъзовица. Малко след това започва и най-трудната част по маршрутът – около 40 минути продължително стръмно изкачване през стара букова гора. Изкачването свършва с излизането от гората, откъдето се открива красива гледка към намиращата се наблизо вече хижа на фона на водопад Райското пръскало и отвесните, скалисти склонове на връх Ботев. През целия маршрут има множество места за отдих, изградени от Дирекцията на парка, пейки, както и няколко чешми по пътя. Целият маршрут с почивки отнема около 4 – 4 часа и 30 минути.
