Kaze no Densetsu Xanadu II (風の伝説ザナドゥII) or The Legend of Xanadu II is an action RPG for the NEC PC Engine CD system that was released back in 1995 exclusively for the Japanese market/audience. It was developed & published by Nihon Falcom. Story wise, it's a direct sequel to the first game. The player controls the adventurer Areios. Along with his friend Daimos, they are looking for their other friend who has disappeared. On the way, their ship is attacked by the evil Dragon Riders. Their adventure wont be as easy as they first thought it would be. The gameplay is quite similar to the YS series (from the same developer). As a typical action RPG it is, the player roams around and fights automatically the enemies. There are some 2D scrolling segments and wherever you finish a chapter there is always a fight waiting for you. The controls are very good, responsive. A unique characteristic is that by pressing the direction buttons will lead you to an auto-move situation, the character will find the move-collisions by himself! That's why the movement seems kinda weird in the video.
