Смешарики - мультсериал для детей, повествующий о жизни круглых персонажей в стране «Смешариков». У каждого героя свой взгляд на вещи, свои увлечения и яркий характер. Увлекательный, поучительный, веселый и добрый отечественный мультсериал про круглых сказочных зверюшек, полюбившийся миллионам детей и взрослых по всему миру и умудрившийся стать мегапопулярным, смело исключив из сценария отрицательных персонажей. Christmas Lullaby is the first, and probably last, Christmas song from cult UK vocalist, Ashley Slater. Ashley's smooth tones first came to the public’s attention when he was the lead singer in Freak Power, a seminal 90’s band he formed with Norman Cook which had hits such as Turn On, Tune In, Cop Out, and Rush. Ashley’s background was in Jazz and when he first heard the Shmeshariki tune (New Year's Lulluby) he was instantly smitten with it. Of course he didn’t really have a clue what the song was about, as his Russian is terrible, but the melody and general atmosphere of the song really sparked his imagination. Working from a rather brutalist translation of the original Russian lyrics, Slater began to weave a song about Christmas, but what he believes are the true values of that holiday time. A time to reflect and be grateful for what one has and to treasure one’s family and friends and indeed, one’s short time in this wonderful world. Enjoy this modern Christmas classic. It’s warm and loving, like Christmas should be.
