Aveyond Rhen's Quest: battle damage??

When Dameon's attack does more damage then Rhen's??? This has been happening consistently and I'm not sure why. I'm playing in expert mode, all of them have the best armor/weapons I could buy, nobody is cursed... Like, previously I mostly had Dameon do shields or healing cuz I didn't think his attacks were any use but I guess that's only true when he doesn't have the right equipment. Myth busted? Sorry for poor quality, literally recorded this on my phone. I had to have documentation, haha Also, sound is muted cuz I get bored of the battle music XD
