Commodore 64 Longplay [098] WWF European Rampage Tour (EU)
Played by: MadMatty WWF European Rampage Tour, developed by Arc Developments and published by Ocean in 1992. “The Superstars are back….. Now fight like you mean it! Once again the WWF Superstars unite for the grand European Rampage Tour. Join your favorites Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior and many more as they travel across Europe to square off in the ring against tag teams like The Natural Disasters and the Nasty Boys. Watch them in the squared circle. Follow them to the grand finale match at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Test your strength and skill. Work with your teammate to achieve the ultimate goal. The European Rampage Tag team Title! I guess WWF Wrestlemania did well enough for Ocean they had to make a follow up. The idea of a Tag Team co-op based game sounds like a good idea and different enough to warrant another game, but for the Commodore 64 they didn't go with it and instead we have another single player game. This time you have to defeat the same 3 opponents in different European countries and once you have defeated them all, you get to face off in a single match at Madison Square against the Animal from the Legion of Doom. Winning here awards you the European Rampage Title!!! The looks quite a bit different from the previous with a more detailed ring and smaller, more detailed less blocky player sprites. However the game is much clunkier and can be difficult to find the right positions to make the moves connect. Playing against the same opponents multiple times really draggs the game out and soon takes away from any enjoyment you may have playing the game. The music doesn't really draw me in either and it.s not varied enough. For the C64, I wouldn't bother with this game and seems like it was made just to pull in some cash from anyone still on thc64 at this point in time. They certainly didn't push the boat out with this one. I haven't tried this game on any other 8 bit computers yet so I have no idea how they compare. 00:00:00 Title Music 00:02:45 Gameplay starts Here!!!! - Disclaimer: Most videos by World of Longplays use SaveStates!
