Akkam, my lovely VGM listeners and welcome back to the oasis foundation of VGM for this video. Today, we’ll be reviewing a visual novel game which is available in the Sega Dreamcast, known as Roommate Novel - Satou Yuka or ルームメイトノベル 〜佐藤由香〜 in Japanese. The plot is simple, that the main protagonist’s parents left on vacation for the whole month of August, leaving him alone with the house, all by himself. Hence, begins the one month of unrestricted freedom for this protagonist, who called himself Yusuke, according to the gameplay review from the Livedoor Blog. It may seem like a boring month for him until he met the famous Satou Yuka in his life where interesting things happened to be with her while spending time with joy! However, it’s not over yet as the childhood friend of his visited him to only be dazed by Satou’s arrival instead. Of course, Hiiragi Aya herself is not going to give up by her standards to be with Yusuke during this story. Thus, what’s going to occur in the storyline of this visual novel for Yusuke himself? By that, you’ll have to find it by yourself, enjoy! Starting with a smooth listen from this track, it delivers an opening ambience with different instruments to be heard. For example, the sound that rhythms with a spray can and ratchet were heard throughout this sensational aura. Therefore, I’m impressed with how the composers managed to apply the surrounding noise of equipment tools for this visual novel. It seems bizarre at first with how it played out, but taking another chance of listening to this track may benefit your calm mind to relax in a different approach. As always, there’s nothing wrong to try something new from our curiosity to discover various possibilities observed as a learning process to develop a close relationship with music as a whole. Examples such as experimental music, black MIDI, vaporwave and so on are the prime choices of acknowledging the latest trend of the basic foundation of music. Ergo, if the existence of prejudice vanished beyond our liabilities, the community of VGM and non-VGM users will feel secure in contributing their thoughts and opinions to others by the settlement received fairly by the end. To sum up, every VGM track has its idiosyncratic views of composition depending on the motive of how they were set up towards the background or storyline itself. Generating from various fictional and non-fictional locations from medieval, steampunk, western, cyberpunk and others should be explored by the basic form of expressing our emotions in between the concept of our imaginations. Hence, it’s not just about adding variety in music, but how the composition of each track may affect the scenario during an insoluble dilemma by everyone or an instant change of happiness to inform the viewers of a positive impact throughout the journey of one’s answers. Therefore, this track has proven its forte on embracing the act of musical ambience beneath the streaming water of elegance and a thirst for knowledge into the obscurity mist itself. Thus, I will rate this track a 7 out of 10 in this video. Thanks for joining me in this lovely video. Without further ado, I end this video with a motivating quote from a person who strives to maintain a positive demeanour in order to ensure that the whole investigation team is in good spirits from Persona 4. “Distance doesn't matter to us!
