Let's Check Out DEAR LEADER (Double Fine Amnesia Fortnight 2014 Prototype) - #1

Dear Leader is one of the four prototypes created by Double Fine during their (semi?)-annual Amnesia Fortnight game jam! This particular project was headed by Anna Kipnis and is a simulation-style game where you lead a post-revolution soviet republic as the newly empowered "Dear Leader." As it turns out, there is much to like in this prototype. There are some minor bugs and hiccups, for instance we apparently did some sequence breaking stuff which kind of threw off the order things were happening, but that's kind of to be expected from a two week prototype. The writing and atmosphere are absolutely spot-on, and the game systems and simulated variables seem to allow for interesting situations to happen. And there is also plenty of room to be silly.
