Вид на виллу Бальбянелло - может быть самый "открыточный" вид на озере Комо. Она действительно хороша, вблизи тоже, как и "изнутри". Постоена она удивительным человеком с удивительной судьбой, и его удивительная коллекция всё ещё здесь, на вилле. А затем мы едем в Швейцарию по живописнейшей долине Аосты. И здесь просто невозможно вести машину! Всё время хочется выпустить руль и схватиться за фотоаппарат. Представьте себе, по обеим сторонам дороги высокие холмы, а за ними - снежные вершины. И на каждом холме - замок, на худой конец развалины замка. Ну как тут удержаться? В один из этих замков мы заехали. И на этой дороге Италию и Швейцарию разделяет перевал Сен-Бернар. А ехали мы в Швейцарию на высокогорный курорт Вербье. Дело в том, что летом в Вербье проходит, наверное, самый важный музыкальный фестиваль в мире. Миша Майский и Стивен Иссерлис, Майя Плисецкая и Родион Щедрин, Менахем Пресслер и Габор Такач-Надь, Марк-Андре Амелин и Джошуа Белл - всех не перечислить. Ведь в Вербье играют только звёзды первой величины. Это была наша первая поездка на фестиваль в Вербье. Всё это - в фильме. * * The view of Villa Balbianello is arguably the most "postcard" view on the entire Lake Como. The villa is really wonderful up close too, as well as "inside". It was built by a remarkable man with an amazing destiny, and his fantastic collection is still here in the villa. Then we drive to Switzerland through the picturesque valley of Aosta. And it’s nearly impossible to drive a car here! All the time I wanted to drop the steering wheel and grab the camera. Imagine majestic hills on both sides of the road with snowy peaks behind. Now add a castle to the top of every hill or at least the ruins of a castle. And you are driving through all that! Of course, we stopped at one of these castles. Italy and Switzerland are separated on this road by the Great St Bernard Pass with its long tunnel. We went to the high-altitude resort of Verbier, because Verbier hosts probably the most important annual music festival in the world. Misha Maisky and Stephen Isserlis, Menachem Pressler and Gabor Takács-Nagy, Marc-André Hamelin and Joshua Bell – It is impossible to list all the stars! After all, only the highest-level stars play in Verbier. This was our first trip to the Verbier Festival.
