“You don’t give up on love” ("Не отрекаются любя", Russian for “One doesn’t renounce, when in love”) is a song by Soviet / Russian music composer Mark Minkov (Марк Минко́в) based on verses by Veronika Tushnova. The poem was written in 1944 and the first performance occurred in 1976, while the song became a hit via 1977 recording by Alla Pugacheva.
