"Song of the Stalinist Sailors," also known as "the Sailor's Song About Stalin," is a Soviet political and military song written in 1942 by Vasily Lebedev-Kumach (who also wrote the Sacred War and the Hymn of the Bolshevik Party among many others) and composed by Konstantin Listov (composer of Tachanka). The lyrics of the song celebrate the great bravery and dedication of the Red Navy to the people and their beloved leader, Iosef Stalin, whose leadership transformed the USSR into a powerful industrial power and led the Soviet people to resist the fascist onslaught.
