Mitsumete Knight - Full Sophia Run, 4 / 48 (Meeting Linda and Gene, and Sports Festival 1st year)

Fourth part of 48 of my full Sophia Robelingue route video playthrough, in "Mitsumete Knight", on PS1. Events of importance in this part : 0:05 - 1:20 : Encounter with Linda 3:15 - 3:55 : Encounter with Gene 4:05 - 6:25 : Sports Festival While the encounter with Linda was planned (as I needed her to get Anne without fail, which is one of the vital keys to succeed in getting Sophia's Ending, I'll talk about this later in the playthrough), Gene's was not. So I got Linda to know my name, while I rejected Gene. (For the slight note and for a little nod for my fellow "Star Ocean : The Second Story" and "Star Ocean EX" fans, you may find interesting that her Katakana name is written the same way as Xine's, the Giant Demon Bird. Xine and Gene are two ways of romanizing ジーン (JI-I-N), that's why. Reason I chose to name her Gene is because the game's instruction booklet has her official romanized name as such. The Sports Festival is a medieval-themed version of Tokimeki Memorial 1's Sports Festival, so if you know this game you'll basically be in known grounds. In this Festival, you get the possibility to invite a girl, and will try to impress her by winning at one of the several mini-games proposed. Most notably, there's a game where you have to go the furthest from the cliff before making your horse stop compared to your opponent, another one where you have to lift more heavy stuff than your opponent before time's off, another one where you fill a gauge by pushing the O button like mad to gain enough power to destroy armors... And so on. Since I didn't succeeded in inviting Sophia in this year, the choice of the game was irrelevent, so I chose a game I haven't played before (remember, it's my second run only). Thus, the game is to cut as much wood log as possible before time's up, all while avoiding breaking expensive-looking jars. I failed hard at this game (part of the reason because I didn't fully understood the rules before late in the game and thus too late), and got mocked by that bastard Johan T_T
