Star Trek Generations: Beyond the Nexus - Game Gear (1994)

You could also check out the Game Boy version, but you really should check this version out because of the color. It really stands out as a visually amazing game for a portable of the time. Beyond that, though...it's not great. It's passable and certainly not broken, but it's just a collection of mini games and I thought that craze died out when microcomputers stopped being a thing. Space combat stages are boring, there's no "Trekking" to be done, and the Pipe Dream stage it annoying and does not belong. Also, that first death? I genuinely thought I was flying through the portals fine but the game kept screaming error and giving me an arrow elsewhere. Turns out that the game was lying to me, so I died. It's nice that the game told me what my failure caused, though.
