Everything is so fragile. It was published in summer of 1999 for Windows, and apparently only distributed in Germany. The game is a traditional RTS set in a future world devastated by climate change. After global society collapsed, two factions emerged in North America: the Outlaws, a alliance under the leadership of gang leader Maddock, and the UniCops, a coalition of councils that want to re-establish order. Final Demand: The Challenge is somewhat formulaic, featuring traditional base-building, resource collection, and army management. There are two resources: scrap, which is directly collected from the battlefield and also generated by destroyed vehicles, and oil, which has to be extracted from oil wells. The UniCops and the Outlaws share most of their structures, but have a mostly unique selection of vehicles and infantry. The former can be individually upgraded as well. The game has two campaigns with ten missions each, and also supports multiplayer via LAN. The campaign missions are a standard fare of tactical missions, holdout missions, and base-building scenarios. Final Demand: The Challenge received mostly negative reviews, and was criticised for lacking originality, and being outdated compared to other contemporary releases.
