Twitter ➤   / icy_melancholia   Here's the first mission of the Story Campaign for Ancient Conquest: Quest for the Golden Fleece. [MISSION I - LEMNIUS'S PARCHMENT] Kill all Barbarians Find and get the parchment on board of one of your ships Units Introduced: Boat (Worker Unit), Men-Killer (Ship specializing in killing ship's combat crews), Ship-Killer (Ship specializing in destroying ships of course, can ram for melee or board enemy ships) Structures Introduced: Settlement (The Construction Yard of the game), Workshop (Upgrade Structure), Mooring (Resource drop-off area), Shipyard (Ship production structure & resource drop-off), Small & Medium Fortresses (Static Defenses that require arming) The first mission is already seeing a lot of action from the get-go. Start off by ordering your boats to gather Amber and Fish for resources. Get an extra Shipyard, Moorage and a Workshop built. Build a small Fortress bit south by ordering your Man-Killer ship to build that structure. Make sure to load it with weapons so it can defend your base. Also build one more fortress on the west edge of the same island of your first small Fortress. For your attacking force, you need a few Ship Killers. One must be loaded on a dock and have its loadout replaced with Swordsmen and Javelin Throwers. You might see Barbarian Ships showing up or approaching your base. Ram them with your Ship Killers or Board them with the Ship Killer containing Swordsmen to instantly destroy them. There should be around four Barbarian warships and one worker ship that must be destroyed. If you run low on resources - there are two viable places to gather more Amber and Fish - the safest one is the spot that's directly West of your base, but it's guarded by Amazons. Deploy one small fortress and load it with weapons then let it rip on the Amazons so your worker boats can gather Amber safely. There are also some amber on the isle south of the northwest area. The remaining Barbarian unit on the map and the mission objective are found Southwest of your base. The parchment is in a small river pathway that's below the Barbarian Fortress. Grab it with a ship and let it sail all the way back to your base. As for destroying the Fortress - you will need to build a Medium Fortress near it through ordering a warship to build one. Take note to get your warship out of the enemy Fortress's range so it can focus fire on your Built Fortress. Load it with weapons. Repair your Fortress until the Barbarian structure is destroyed. You can provide fire support with your other ships once the Barbarian fortress is focused on your Medium Fortress. Once you have the parchment on a boat and destroyed all Barbarian units and structures - this mission is won!
