Little Witching Mischiefs Gameplay

In this video, I play a strategy RPG targeted towards 8 year old girls... WHAT? IT'S PERFECTLY NORMAL, THERE'S NOTHING WEIRD WITH THAT AT ALL. Majokko Daisakusen: Little Witching Mischiefs is a crossover game featuring many old-school "Magical Girl" anime such as Sally the Witch or Cutie Honey. It has a rather weird creation story: the original game which engine was used for this was the PSX strategy/action game "The Unholy War", which IMO was a good game that was unfortunately mostly overlooked because people just bought it for the Soul Reaver demo that was included. When this game was ported to Japan, apparently it was decided that the Japanese people wouldn't play a rather grim and gritty fantasy/sci-fi strategy game, so the creators reskinned it and turned it into... this. Most of the enemies are reused models and assets from not only The Unholy War, but also Pandemonium 1 and 2 (which were made by the same company). For people who have played the original game, it's kind of amusing to think that the original warring factions of TUW has now put aside their differences and teamed up against little girls from JAPAN. Maybe they think Witchcraft is heresy and really disapprove of it. While this game does add some new gameplay elements (the RPG aspects were not in The Unholy War), it does come off looking like an extremely unprofessional Romhack due to the uneven quality of the art and sound assets. Physicals copies of this game is supposedly very rare and I'm not sure if anyone who owns it even realizes it exists. Turn on captions for super insightful commentary that will leave you pondering about the mysteries of the universe (lie).
