Ladykiller in a Bind (2016) (PC) (Love Conquers All Games)

The full title of this game is "My Twin Brother Made Me Crossdress As Him And Now I Have To Deal With A Geeky Stalker And A Domme Beauty Who Want Me In A Bind!!"...and that just about covers the basics. The new visual novel from ambitious indie developer Christine Love (previously known for "Digital: A Love Story", and "Analogue: A Hate Story") is all about being as hilariously kinky as possible without at the same time perpetuating the kind of male-centric sexist stereotypes one commonly associates with the genre. As such, there's a strong emphasis on consensuality and individual empowerment here (despite plenty of S&M trappings and a bitingly satirical framing device involving popularity contests and social manipulation), as well as a refreshing - indeed, sometimes almost dizzying - fluidity to the game's representation of gender. As with all visual novels, interactivity is fairly limited on a moment-to-moment basis, but there are definitely important choices to make and even resources of sorts to manage. I have only played through the first few in-game days so far, but this is definitely a fascinating experiment well worth checking out for fans of narrative-driven titles.
