Fast RMX All Tracks (Hypersonic) Speedrun - 1:00:18
This is a speed run of all 36 tracks (including bonus tracks) in Fast RMX on the nintendo switch, in Hypersonic Speed, with a time of 1:00:18.24. Timing is calculated by adding the in-game time of every track completed. This game is awesome and fast and only $20 USD, go get it. I don't claim to be an expert for this game, I have not grinded out any time attacks. I also did not implement any skips, as while I respect them and think they're really cool to watch, for me personally, they hurt the spirit of playing a racing game. This is pretty much a "casual speedrun". That being said, for my low skill level, I'm happy enough with this run, with only 3 crashes. Cevo Canyon in particular was the ugliest track. There are two vehicles I use: Spaarc Unlimited: This is by far the best vehicle in the game in Hypersonic. Decent top speed, the best boost stat in the game, and light enough to handle well. As boosting is so powerful in hypersonic, I use this for the majority of the tracks. In slower speed, boosting is less useful. Mueller PLS: Similar to the Spaarc, but sacrifices some boost for more top speed. It's another solid vehicle, I use it in a few tracks that are less boost heavy, or tracks where I'm not consistent with getting certain boost orbs. There are also a few exploits I take advantage of: Boosting through a colored jump pad as the wrong phase/color doesn't lose speed. In fact, you stop draining your boost energy when you pass through it. This is abused as much as possible, with ramps where I don't need the jump from them, to conserve boost and cut down on air time. Repeatedly leaning right while tilting left (and vice versa) lets me accelerate more quickly. Primarily useful to save a bit of time at the start of most tracks. When you boost, you commit to using a set amount of boost. However, hitting a wall (which rarely loses speed while boosting) cuts that off. This can be useful for boost management.
