Before there was an NHL Hitz and the more arcade-style EA NHL games of the early 2000s, EA dipped their toe into the arcade extreme hockey market with NHL Rock the Rink. Combining elements of Midway's extreme sports games and the NES classic Ice Hockey, Rock the Rock sees your team of amateurs do battle with other no name squads and NHL teams in an effort to become King of the Rink. Discord:   / discord   ______________________________________________________________________ NHL Rock the Rink is an arcade-style hockey game developed by EA Canada and published by Electronic Arts (not EA Sports) for the PlayStation 1 in 2000. Unlike other most EA sports games, this did not have a sequel. NHL Rock the Rink features three-on-three hockey action in a first to a goal number style of games. Gameplay is punctuated by a limited number of rules along with specialty shots and hits.
