They consist of the Hellenic Army, the Hellenic Navy, and the Hellenic Air Force. The civilian authority overseeing the Hellenic Armed Forces is the Ministry of National Defense. Greece currently has universal compulsory military service for males from and over 18 years of age. Under Greek law, all men over 18 years of age must serve in the Armed Forces for a period of 9-12 months. Women can serve in the Greek military on a voluntary basis, but cannot be conscripted. According to NATO sources in 2008, Greece spent 2.8% of GDP on its military, which translated to about €6.9 billion (US$9.3 billion). In 2008, Greece was the largest importer of conventional weapons in Europe and its military spending was the highest in the European Union relative to the country's GDP, reaching twice the European average. Military personnel was estimated at approximately 106,000 for year 2017 and 105,000 for year 2018. Greece is an EU and NATO member and currently participates primarily in peacekeeping operations. Such operations are ISAF in Afghanistan, EUFOR in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Chad, and KFOR in Kosovo. Greece also maintains a small force in Cyprus. _______________________________ ► More Military videos on:    / quasarentertainment   TWITEER:   / quasarenter   _______________________________ 00:00 HELLENIC ARMED FORCES 00:07 HELLENIC ARMY 00:15 - Main battle tanks 01:03 - Infantry fighting vehicles 01:27 - Armored personnel carriers 01:51 - Armored mortar carriers 02:15 - Armored anti-tank guided missile carriers 02:39 - Anti-tank guided missile 02:55 - Armored command vehicles 03:19 - Armored patrol and reconnaissance vehicles 04:07 - Light combat vehicles 04:30 - Armored recovery vehicles 05:11 - Armored vehicle-launched bridges 06:07 - Μine clearance armored engineering vehicles 06:39 - Armored firefighting vehicle 06:55 - Utility/Cargo vehicles 09:43 - Armored medical evacuation vehicles 10:15 - Rocket artillery 10:39 - Self-propelled artillery 11:11 - Towed artillery 11:43 - Counter-battery radar / Observation systems 12:31 - Surveillance systems 13:03 - Air defense - missile systems 13:51 - Air defense - gun systems 14:31 - Transport aircraft 15:55 - Helicopters 16:07 - UAVs 17:03 - Special forces watercraft 17:43 HELLENIC AIR FORCE 17:51 - Combat aircraft 18:31 - Maritime patrol 18:47 - AEW&C 19:03 - Aerial firefighting 19:35 - Electronic-warfare 19:51 - Transport 20:47 - Helicopters 21:27 - Trainer aircraft 22:07 - UAVs 22:39 - Surface-to-air missile. 23:27 - Air defence artillery 23:51 HELLENIC NAVY 23:59 - Submarines 24:39 - Frigates 25:11 - Missile boats 25:51 - Gunboats 26:31 - Patrol boats 27:03 - Special operations craft 27:51 - General support ships 28:31 - Tankers 28:55 - Tank landing ships 29:11 - Hovercraft 29:27 - Landing craft 29:59 - Transport ships 30:31 - Mine countermeasures vessels 30:55 - Miscellaneous ships 31:59 - Memorial ships 32:31 - Maritime patrol aircraft 32:47 - Helicopters 33:19 - UAV 33:35 HELLENIC COAST GUARD 33:43 - Offshore patrol vessels 34:23 - Patrol boats 34:55 - Fast patrol boat 35:35 - Patrol / Hcg special forces 37:11 - Coastal patrol Rib 37:59 - Ambulance vessel 38:15 - Lifeboat 38:39 - Pollution control 39:03 - Maritime patrol aircraft 39:19 - Utility aircraft 39:43 - Patrol helicopter 39:59 - UAV 40:15 FUTURE EQUIPMENT #greecearmy #greecenavy #greecearmedforces #greeceairforce #full #review #equipment #Greece #army #forces #hellenicarmy
