Double Moon Densetsu or The Legend of Double Moon. Is a Japanese role playing for the Nintendo Entertainment system produced by Amusement and Dennou Kenkyusho and ORG. This is about as close as you will ever get to a Dragon Warrior Clone. During the prominent NES era, Dragon quest was an extremely popular video game where game developers were inspired heavily and went onto create their own fantasy epics. This is one game that draws a lot of inspiration from Dragon warrior and Final fantasy as it shares awfully familiar elements from both respective franchises. The game also has a very well authentic eng translation. Random encounter rate is not quite as terrible as previous NES games I played so this one should be a little more fun. How ever there is a bit of a difficulty curve at the start of the game with enemies being able to crit providing your many game overs early on. But once you get past a certain point, the mechanics and the game start to feel more balanced. The world of sword and magic, Double Moon, with its two continents - Northern and Southern - was created by the benevolent deity Fatima. However, the evil demon Samoirenko plans to destroy this world by summoning the mysterious dark Dragon. You take control of a young boy named Joules, whose father was abducted by Samoirenko long time ago. You discover that you also had a twin sister who has disappeared. Now you feel ready to find your father and to confront Samoirenko - you leave your home village and begin a dangerous journey, during which you will meet many friends and many foes along the way.
