Padraig Harrington won the 2007 Open Championship but defending his title at The 137th Open at Royal Birkdale in 2008 was going to be a tough task. The Irishman was almost forced to withdraw from the tournament thanks to a wrist injury, but Harrington battled through, producing a gritty performance in the final round.
