Nintendo DS Longplay [032] Trauma Center: Under The Knife 2 (Part 1 of 5)

Played by: Tsunao "The patient's life is in your hands! Begin Operation." do-do-do-do dooooooooooo Throwing this out there: shoddy editing on 5-6. This is due to not playing the game for almost a month or so and forgetting where you left off. The sequel to the "medical drama" Under The Knife that was only released in North America and Japan. (I feel sorry for the folks in Europe and PAL territories). Follow Derek Stiles and his assistant Angie Thompson as they treat stuff in Costigar and then head back to America, where people are developing PGS (Post-GUILT Syndrome) or something. It gets better. There's also a sad scene. Whether it is sadder than UTK1's is debatable. This game is tool assisted so expect some impossible feats. For the uninformed: Tool assist involves slowing the game down to a crawl, advance the game one frame at a time, and abuse the crap out of savestates when I make a mistake. I did this to overcome human limitations (I did this game on the No$GBA on my personal channel. It wasn't a fun experience.) This game is played on Hard difficulty, and I obtain XS rank in EVERYTHING!! In case you are wondering: XS can only obtained on Hard mode (or Extreme aka X-Operations, but they are in a league of their own), getting all 2000 point bonuses (some easier said than done), and having a minimum score (you can have all the bonuses but still get S Rank). For most of the operations, I breeze through it with no problems. However, some I had to sit tight to up the score a bit and get bonuses, especially the chain bonuses (evident in 2-2, 4-1, 7-1, 7-6, 7-7. and X-5). For 7-7, I intentionally proceeded to Sige x8 phase so I can get more points (not only from Sige but from the pipes as well). Maybe I should've just waited for Tetarti phase (fancy choreography. -_-) For X-7. however, I didn't put in enough injections so Sige x8 kicked in (it gets raped quickly). Might've been a good thing. There may be a change of quality in terms of gameplay. For Chapter 1, I had to re-break it (I was trying to figure out the mechanics, like how many frames is needed to select a tool, how many frames needed for a tool to take effect, things of that nature). Chapter 2 and the rest of the game is pretty much the same ol' same ol'. About halfway through Chapter 2 or so, I decided to just go for "thunderbolt"/"N" sutures without worrying about making them look legit (white suture lines showing). Fun fact: some operations are copypasta from New Blood. The 4 tumors in 2-2? That was from New Blood...I think. Also: "Severing The Chains of Fate". That is all. - Disclaimer: Most videos by World of Longplays use SaveStates!
