A playthrough of Enix's 1990 role-playing game for the NES, Dragon Warrior II. This is the second part of a two-part playthrough, showing from the party's arrival in the town of Beran through the ending. Part one can be found at After leaving town I head to the Cave of Rhone to tackle one of the most grueling dungeons in the game. Once I arrive in Rhone I use the shrine as the new home base in order to grind my party up to reasonable levels for the final string of battles. When I get to Rhone at 1:00:05 the main hero is at level 23, and he's at level 41 when I finally enter Hargon's Castle at 6:43:09. Even by old-school JRPG standards, that's *a lot* of grinding, especially when so many of the enemies can wipe you out with a single spell or a critical strike. _____________ No cheats were used during the recording of this video.
