A playthrough of LJN's 1991 wrestling game for the Nintendo Game Boy, WWF Superstars. Played through as Macho Man Randy Savage. WWF Superstars is the often forgotten third and final Rare produced WWF game for Nintendo's 8-bit systems, and though it''s on the Game Boy, it stands up amazing well to its console predecessors. The graphics are all big and detailed, there are a fair variety of moves available, and the wrestler's themes all sound great. This title got absolutely crushed when Nintendo Power rated it, which I always thought was a little unfair - it really is like a mash-up of the best pieces of the WWF Wrestlemania and WWF Wrestlemania Challenge. Just a bit more monochromatically green. It even has Vince McMahon, looking like a bigger tool than ever on the small screen! Oh yeah! I was always a huge fan of the individualized taunts and commentary offered before and after each match - they did a nice job of bringing out a bit of the wrestlers' personalities, which was something that these early wrestling games often struggled with. _____ No cheats were used during the recording of this video.
