Digital Pinball: Last Gladiators Game Sample - Sega Saturn

"Last Gladiators" is the first of several games in the "Digital Pinball" line-up developed by KAZe who became most known for their pinball titles during the mid 90s (along with "Digital Pinball: Necronomicon" and "Digital Pinball: Last Gladiators Ver. 9.7" released in Japan for Sega Saturn). The Digital Pinball line-up is highly regarded (especially "Necronomicon" for its overall look, excellent playability, interlaced high-resolution, and music by John Petrucci and Yusuke Takahama) although the only one to be released outside Japan is this one. The game features a high-quality (but unnecessary) opening movie, four nice but relatively simple tables, good physics, rich audio, and several secrets. Each machine has different objectives as well as different themes. In the first machine, "Gladiators", slaves of the Roman Empire are fighting for the entertainment of others. In the second machine, "Knight of the Roses", brave knights fight against the forces of darkness in medieval times. In the third machine, "Dragon Showdown", eastern warriors do battle in 17th century Japan. Lastly, "Warlock" is about the emergence of Judgement day. The Digital Pinball titles are amongst the best pinball games on the Sega Saturn. This is a video of the game in action, showing some of each machine. Enjoy.
