DiRT 3: Gymkhana Drift Tutorial - How To Get Platinum

In order to achieve platinum here, you need to hold long drifts around both of the corners of the track. Each corner has four drift gates and you will need to make sure you are sideways before you get to the first gate of a corner (the large inflatable gate). I would advise using the handbrake to initiate the drift then powering through to maintain speed. I personally hold down throttle whilst drifting and dont let go of it, using the steering to control the direction of the drift. Constant throttle helps maintain your speed and steering control will help you drift cleanly through the gates. Keep the drift going and remember to keep sideways for maximum points (5,000pts per gate). I would strictly recommend TURNING ON MANUAL. I play in manual and after trying it auto, I found it so much harder because the car switches through 3rd and 1st gears when you only need 2nd. If you aren't familiar with manual, theres no need to worry because you only have to switch into 2nd gear then you are set from there (notice how I stayed in 2nd for the entire thing).
