Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team Playthrough Part 16 (EXTRA #10 - Kecleon + Lucario Rank!)

In this video, I show off one of the most efficient methods for recruiting Kecleon! Afterwards, we help out a few more Pokémon, giving us the Lucario Rank and our final statue! Kecleon is one of the toughest Pokémon to recruit in the game, by far. Before you even attempt to hunt for one, make sure you have a Pokémon that's Lv 90 or higher. On top of that, be sure to give the Pokémon a Friend Bow as well while fighting the Kecleon. Wyvern Hill is definitely the best spot to look for a Kecleon Shop. Use the X-Ray Specs and search for a spot with a bunch of items and a red spot. After refusing to pay for an item, head to a wall and prepare to fight off Kecleon after Kecleon. They're all Lv 90 and hit really hard, so your safest bet is to have a Pokémon with Double Team and attacks that can hit everyone around them at once. Raichu has access to Thunderbolt, Shock Wave, Thundershock, and Double Team, which is all very useful for taking out Kecleon while trying to stay alive. Reviver Seeds and Max Elixirs are the other items that you want an abundance of. If you get knocked out, use Double Team 10 more times and continue to fight the Kecleon off. If the message "... Something's stirring." pops up on the bottom of the screen, that's your cue to restart and try again. If you fail to get out in time, you'll get blown out of the dungeon by an unseen force, which counts as a loss. The odds of recruiting a Kecleon are 0.1%, and that's with the Friend Bow and best recruitment odds via leveling up. Considering you fight a TON of them though, you're sure to get one sooner or later. Also, try to make sure you're fighting by the stairs. Good luck!
