TWAIN Poker - Stage 1

First stage of TWAIN Poker. I found out about this game while checking World of TWAIN, which is an RPG/shmup of AQ Loop. As I went through the downloads section of the site to see if they gave anything like wallpapers, I stumbled upon TWAIN Poker. It has a nice little twist to the basic Poker formula, where one card is shared among all participants and on the first draw, you can switch cards in between both of your characters, allowing you to build up nice hands. On the 2nd/3rd draws is when you can remove/switch cards from your hand. It's technically only 1 draw, but it acts as 2 draws since you can only do it for one character at a time. Also, you can't switch cards between characters anymore. I did run into a couple of bugs here and there, but the only one I remember is how a pair of 8's beat my pair of Aces. It only happened once though. I know the rules to Poker, however I don't know the specifics of the game itself. As you control two characters (yourself and your partner, which you can choose before starting the game), I though your combined score had to be better than the combined score of the opponents. It seemed to be the actual mechanic for the first 3 stages at least, as it didn't matter if I had one character in 1st and the other in 3rd, but upon reaching the final stage (or stage 4), it seems like you require to have both characters in 1st and 2nd places. Any of my characters being lower than that and I would be greeted with a lovely Game Over. Oh well, doesn't matter, I can still clear it nonetheless. By the way, I'm by no means an expert at Poker, I just used to play it every now and then back in the days. So yep, I've seen quite a couple of times where I discarded hands that I should of kept, mistakes here and there. Oh well :] -------------------- -------------------- World of TWAIN:
