Building A Floating Island! ▫ Minecraft Survival Guide S3 ▫ Tutorial Let's Play [Ep.83]

The Minecraft Survival Guide Season 3 continues in Minecraft 1.20.4! In this tutorial, we take a look at how to build a floating island in Survival Minecraft. Working from the concept we established in the previous episode, today we build a floating island in a plains valley near my starter base. Creating terrain from scratch can be a challenge, so we explore techniques like wireframing, which can help visualize and map out different parts of a large 3D shape before committing loads of resources to the build. This is just phase one of the build! We will return to smooth out the rough edges, add detail and shading with different materials, and of course build out the pirate ship and other terrain details on the surface of the island.
