Воронежская компания "Сатурн" решила порадовать нас (вас?) играизацией моей любимой книги Желязны "Девять принцев Амбера". Казалось бы, что может пойти не так? Смотрите - увидите. To those poor English-speaking chaps who might stumble upon this silly video: This was a not very successful Russian attempt at creating a game based on the classic Zelazny series. Basically, some guys in Voronezh (a nice city 30 miles from Moscow) attempted to turn the whole ten books into games back in 90's. However, after the infamous financial world crisis of 1998, developers scrapped this plan after successfully releasing only one game based on the very first book "Nine Princes in Amber". That wasn't the only problem. Developers also deliberately ignored the copyright, which is why you probably have NEVER heard of this game before. Nevertheless, it is what it is - one of the few attempts to turn Zelazny epic series into games. Personally, I don't think this game is perfect by any means, since it has many issues: it feels incredibly rushed; puzzles are jarring and completely unnecessary; the point-and-click interface is very clunky, voice casting is average at best and all attemps at adding or changing something in the original just come across as awkward. Still, I think it's an interesting game from at least historical standpoint.
