SNES Wrecking Crew '98

  / shiryuvideogames   There is a 16-bit "Wrecking Crew '98" and I only found about it yesterday!? You bet! All these years and I am still discovering Super Famicom exclusives. I'm a big fan of the original on NES and although this one is rather different gameplay wise, it is still rather brilliant. The fact that this was released in 1998 isn't the only factor that make this one easy to miss: It was first released in January only on Super Famicom vending machines for the Nintendo Power cartridge, a re-writable cart where you could download certain games and then play them on your Super Famicom. However in May of the same year, there was an actual proper cartridge release. I'm sadly not very good at it yet, but I will surely keep practicing, I want to see all the gorgeous animated interludes between adversaries.
