Game: Saturn Bomberman System: Sega Saturn Version: (US) This is the longplay of the game Saturn Bomberman, an action and maze game developed by Hudson Soft and released exclusively for the Sega Saturn in July 1996 in Japan, May 1997 in Europe and September 1997 in North America. The game's story begins with its protagonist, Bomberman, doing routine patrolling in the galaxy. While flying on patrol, looking for threats to the peace the world so cherishes, Bomberman encounters a light coming from the undergrowth of the rainforest. Rising from the green depths, the Crystal Tower appeared. But the crystals that contained the monster Crator inside the tower were stolen, causing the monster to escape. Then Bomberman receives a message from Dr. Ein via radio and asks the hero to retrieve the crystals before it's too late! In the game we control Bomberman, who has his classic scheme of planting bombs to explode blocks in search of items and also to defeat enemies along the way. A major feature of the Bomberman series are the mounts, which in this version are dinosaurs with different colors and abilities, which can grow and evolve in level by defeating enemies and winning stages. The game's graphics are very beautiful, the soundtrack is very good and the stages are connected to each other almost without pauses. The game also stood out for having a co-op multiplayer in Normal Mode and also a competitive one in Battle Mode, both conventionally and allowing up to 10 players to play at the same time (this functionality was restricted to Japan), in addition to the Master Game (exclusively Single Player, where the player needs to eliminate all enemies on each floor, 20 in total. The objective is to get a high score and face one of the 5 Bomber Instructors as bosses. The game was made in Normal Mode, with 2 players and trying to show and use all the dinosaurs alternately (while at the end we decided which ones to maximize and use for the rest of the game).
