decided to play the new (to me) patch after watching halfcoordinated's awesome Arcade run (watch here!    • JOYLANCER v1.8.1 Arcade mode in 27:15 RTA,...   ) and found this while relearning the first few stages. EDIT: More love to halfcoordinated, as it turns out this is pretty much a roundabout way of doing it much more simply; Just get a full gauge and you can burst jump over the barrier with a well timed attack.
