Playthrough: "Dragon Lore: The Legend Begins" Part 1/4

This is one of Cryo Interactives earlier efforts, and I thought it was quite an enjoyable experience. For its time (1994) impressive graphics, engine and animations and the soundtrack by Stephane Picq (Dune, Lost Eden, Atlantis) is as lovely as ever and does wonders for the atmosphere. Unlike its sequel (Dragon Lore II, check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...
, Dragon Lore 1 feels polished and tested much more thoroughly. The game uses a slide-engine as introduced with 'Myst', a year earlier. But Dragon Lore has less 'gaps' between its slides, which creates less disorientation for the player. For its time, I thought it was quite a convincing way of movement in a game. === TECHNICAL NOTES The game was perfectly playable for me on a Windows 10 system with Dosbox installed on it. Keep cycles around 30.000 and use a 'dynamic' core. For more background-info about the World of Dragon Lore an its inhabitants, check out the manual:
I uploaded the entire Dragon Lore Soundtrack on my other channel "Twilight Soundtracks." (   • Dragon Lore, The Legend Begins Soundtrack ...  )
