Celestian Tales: The Old North - The Grey Giant (Secret Boss)

And at long last, here we are with the secret boss of the game. Once you've collected all of the honor medals, you can challenge the Grey Giant on top of the Needle. Sadly, due to the way the game is set up, there is no real reward here other than an achievement and perhaps the scenes with Reynard and Ylianne. As for the boss herself, I believe Cammile is essential for this fight as she can have innate immunity to the fairies' status bomb. You get one silence immunity accessory, which I opted to use on Aria, but this is somewhat flexible. Depending on what you have for healing items, you could actually have pretty much anyone stand in for her here. The drawback is that you don't have access to Benediction though, so keep that in mind. Beyond Cammile, you also need a tank to hold aggro while Cammile supplies DPS. Reynard might be able to work in this capacity with the proper set-up, but I prefer Lucienne as usual. With Thornmail and Duelist Stance, she can actually assist in the DPS role while still being tank for the team. As for strategy, I believe the fairies in the back row should be highest priority as you don't have to worry about the status effects once they're gone. With them out of the way, you're free to cast unto your heart's content and not even the Grey Giant is that terrifying without support. However, if you don't keep removing the buffs, the Giant can indeed be a force to be reckoned with. Anyway, with this video out of the way, I'm taking a small break from CTON and plan to have a new game pick up at the end of the week. Fairy Fencer F will still be updating in the mean time, so you'll have that to fall back to when you need your RPG fix.
