Gunman Chronicles is a sci-fi first-person shooter video game developed by Rewolf Software and Valve Software, and published by Sierra Studios, originally released in November 2000. The player takes on the role of Major Archer, a leader of a futuristic, spacefaring team of mercenaries called the Gunmen. The game is set in a distant future where humanity has colonized other planets and is threatened by a powerful alien race known as the Xenomes. The plot revolves around the Gunmen's efforts to prevent the Xenomes from acquiring a powerful weapon known as the Sunblade, which has the power to destroy entire planets.
