Like with the PS1 Shadow Tower, you gain stat points by defeating enemies and using items, so going out of your way to fight stuff benefits you. The area names are based on the in-game data book. I take my time in the Moving Block Area because the platforms can sometimes be finicky. I actually did die a lot trying to rush through Deep Fog and it’s not even hard.
