WWF Super WrestleMania (SNES) Playthrough - NintendoComplete

A playthrough of LJN's 1992 wrestling game for the Super NES, WWF Super WrestleMania. The SNES version of the game lacks any sort of structured career or story mode, so each of the match types (played on medium) are shown at the following time codes: 1:01 One-on-one, The Undertaker vs. Hulk Hogan 3:42 Tag Team, Hawk and Animal (The Legion of Doom) vs. Earthquake and Typhoon (The Natural Disasters) 8:03 Survivor Series, Sid Justice, Hulk Hogan, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, and Jake "The Snake" Roberts versus Earthquake, Typhoon, Animal, and Ted "The Million Dollar Man" DiBiase. The first WWF game for the SNES feels a lot like the later titles on the NES, but innovative gameplay wasn't really the draw for this title - the focus was mostly on the amazing presentation (at least, for a wrestling game from 1992). Who wasn't blown away by that title screen the first time they saw it? Or the fact that all of the wrestlers theme songs were here sounding much better than they did in the NES games? Sure, their "signature" moves are missing this time around and there aren't that many options available, but the good sized roster and solid mechanics made this one a winner until WWF Royal Rumble came around and gave everything a pretty heavy-duty update. I spent many weekends with friends playing this one again and again. It may not have aged as well as some of the games from this era, but still - WWF Super WrestleMania was featured on the cover of Nintendo Power. That was about all the endorsement a game back then needed, since if NP featured it, you were usually assured a pretty damned good game. ___ No cheats were used during the recording of this video.
