[iPod ] Song Summoner: The Unsung Heroes - Play! 2

Song Summoner, an RPG for the iPod from Square Enix. After playing Squeenix games on the PS2/DS/GBA/PSP, I decided to try this one out. Using a 5.5G iPod Video. The game loads a lot. Some scenes and loading times were clipped for time constraints (notice the clock). This makes the video a bit more watchable, however. So don't expect this game to be fast in practice. Mind you, the unedited video is 20 minutes long. As I have done with the defend your castle videos, I won't show the whole thing. With the LCD on, music playing, and almost constant hard drive access, the game causes a huge drain on the battery. So charge the iPod before playing or play with the USB cable. Since there's no video out, it's amazing how the camera and iPod are stable (unlike other homemade videos using an iPod). Very little movement as far I can tell. The quality is pretty good. You can't see the reflection off the LCD screen. Almost looks like a direct capture. Parts of the game remind me of Super Mario RPG, Legend of Mana, Final Fantasy X-2, FF Tactics, and SaGa Frontier. --- Song Summoner: The Unsung Heroes is an iPod tactical role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix worldwide. Song Summoner is similar to other Square Enix tactic games, but unique in that troops, call Tune Troopers, are generated from songs on the user's iPod. There are 50 characters that can be generated, each of which falls into one of five job classes: Soldier, Monk, Archer, Knight, and Mage.
