Woman’s Medical Mystery Finally Gets a Unique Diagnosis

Singer/songwriter Ali McManus was born premature and with a hole in her heart. When she was 4 she started experiencing body pain and frequently breaking her bones. The doctors didn’t know what was going on. It took several years for Ali to finally get a diagnosis or a rare form of osteogenesis imperfecta, and her doctors told her that there’s no else with the same rare form she has. Throughout her pain, surgeries and the unknown, Ali shares that music has saved her life.
