I never tried LHX Attack Chopper for MegaDrive/Genesis before. It was released in 1992, 2 years after original PC version. It's a pity it wasn't released for Amiga 500, as it has similar capability as MD/Genesis (same CPU - Motorola 68000 running at slightly faster clock). It's a somewhat modified PC version, notable differences: • Blackhawk and Osprey has been cut (cargo and rescue runs still possible to fly with LHX or Apache though) • You can't select specific theatre or mission, you are served the missions randomly • You can't outfit your helo before mission, you will be given mission-specific loadout • Once you select your chopper, you can't change it for the current pilot • Due to limited controls your target choice, countermeasures, jammers etc are automated (simulating CP/G involvement), although with 2nd controller plugged in, player 2 can switch targets and fire weapons (acting as CP/G) • Your targeting camera will display static 2D target picture (not real 3D model from game-space) • New addition - you will hear your CP/G speak • For some reason Apache has retractable gears (also automated) Overall for a console flight-sim it's pretty amazing. To get LHX Attack Chopper you need to pick it from the Workshop - it's a "mod" for Golden Axe - the way it works - workshop mods need specific games which can be bought on Steam from the collection:
