Abandoned Places - A Time For Heroes - Longplay 001 - Intro & Characters
Abandoned Places - A Time For Heroes was developed by the Hungarian development studio ArtGames and published by Electronic Zoo (at least the Amiga version in Europe) in 1992. Mobygames lists International Computer Entertainment Ltd. as publisher. I guess this applies to the IBM PC version. It is a grid-based dungeon crawler (I love this sub-genre! of CRPGs) in the vein of games like Dungeon Master and Eye of the Beholder. Admittedly, it does not reach the same quality standard as both aforementioned games, and thus is always considered as mediocre. However, I had a lot of fun playing through this game. The first video shows the game's intro as well as the character creation - or rather the character choice, since there is no character creation involved in this game. However, you can choose two fighters out of six and one cleric and wizard each out of three.
