Mega Play version is different from Mega Drive version. Mega Play is an arcade platform based on Mega Drive hardware and it allows to play modified Mega Drive games on arcade cabinet. Differences for Mega Play version are interesting: 1. Hard difficulty starts from fourth opponent in Mega Play version. In Mega Drive version it starts from the first one 2. Mega Play version requires one win to proceed. In Mega Drive version you have to win twice but it also means you can lose one time against each opponent 3. You can store up to 50 points for crush bar in Mega Play version. In Mega Drive version it's up to 30. It's possible to get 50 points using a single chain if you're good at chains. And it means you can move opponent's play area up to five rows at once 4. You or your opponent can't make a Flash Jewel anymore in Mega Play version 5. No pause menu so you can't get or use items anymore in Mega Play version 6. Mega Play version has more backgrounds for single player mode
