I don’t like that a lot of the enemies from the first game were redecorated for this game. Many of the new enemies are incredibly punishing for players unfamiliar with them. - I don’t think the tag team design works for this kind of game. Silvia specific stuff such as the electric boxes feels too forced. She only feels useful to farm points off certain enemies. - I had a much easier time doing a Rainbow V run of Viewtiful Joe 1. I think this is because there are many more environmental hazards and encounters where there are 5+ enemies on screen and no red sake gourd in this game. - 7-1 took the most attempts. The score and timing constraints are incredibly strict in this section requiring near perfect play against the drill tank. I didn’t know about zoom increasing projectile damage until this point in the game. - I think the most fun boss is Doctor Cranken because he requires you to focus on the entire screen and constantly move. - Demon Alastor has a stabbing attack that leaves him dizzy if you dodge it. It has a startup of about 17 frames (during slow-mo) which makes it impossible to reliably dodge on Ultra-V difficulty. I assume that Silvia's electric debuff is supposed to be used on Alastor to slow him and make the attack seeable but it seems to be an oversight by the developers.
