Lesson on The Doors' version of Back Door Man, which appeared on their first album in 1967. I've not seen tabs or lessons on this, so this is my take, by ear. The song was written by Willie Dixon for Howlin' Wolf a few years earlier. This lesson covers all of the guitar parts: main riffs and chords are in Part 1; a breakdown of the solo and the outro are in Part 2. Robbie Krieger, The Doors' guitarist, did not use a pick, probably as a result of his study of Flamenco music. In this lesson, I use a hybrid picking approach, which will allow you to get the Krieger sound, while allowing for an easier transition to the solo. In standard tuning. Thanks for watching.
