Today on Quest for VR I am playing Radial G: Proteus. This is just one of those games that has a soft spot for me in the fact that it is truly the original VR racer! Radial G has been around in some form since it was originally released back in the DK2 days on the long gone but never forgotten Oculus share. I fondly remember playing it for the first time and reveling at the sense of speed that the game created and I am happy to say that it is back and better than ever with the latest release for the Oculus Quest Radial G: Proteus. Overall the game is pretty much the same as it always has been and is still really fun. The graphics are a bit more stylized for the Quest but it looks great and the game runs very well. The soundtrack is also good and keeps the adrenaline p[umping. I think the only thing I would caution players about especially newcomers to VR is the fact that this game can cause VR sickness pretty quickly in some people. Even an old vet like me can tend to get a bit dizzy with all the games high speed twists and turns and rotating tracks and backgrounds so be aware of this before diving in and remember to take it slow at first and build up to the harder and wilder looking tracks!
